Musically-inclined…yes, you could say that. My piano & I have known each other for 20+ years ;)
Classically trained, RCM Grade 10 with first class honours. Proudest moment of my mother’s life.
Not really, but close. As for me, 2-3 hour practices a day were no more. Barely touched a piano for years afterwards. Brief hiatus, if you will. Not the proudest moment of my mother’s life.
Fast forward. Missed playing. Started playing again. Moved to the city. Desperately missed playing. Bought a Yamaha CLP-340. Play time, all the time. Soul is happy. Motivated to keep it satisfied. This year, more classical…jazz…original?…possibilities are endless.
In the meantime, sharing a few favourites. Hope you enjoy.
{Beethoven: Sonata in C Minor – 3rd Movement}
{The Way We Were}
{Apologize – Timbaland ft. One Republic}
{River Flows in You – Yiruma}
For Amanda who loved this song from the moment she heard it.
{Never Felt This Way – Alicia Keys}
For Tanja who wished for a recording of this song almost a decade ago.
{Moon River – Breakfast at Tiffany’s}
For my mother who adores Audrey Hepburn as much as I do.
I didn’t know these videos existed until tonight. Now I want you to make more.

These videos are crazy amazing! Wowzah! I listened to them over and over again tonight while I did laundry and made curry. Yikes!
I stumbled on your page from foodspotting! Wow I enjoyed your videos, they’re incredibly soothing.
Glad you enjoyed, love playing to relax… thanks for stumbling across my page :)
The piano can be such a soothing instrument, especially with a talented pianist at the keys.
I’ve always enjoyed Stephan Moccio’s music. I quite liked his first album. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of him but if you haven’t you can check him out here: http://www.myspace.com/stephanmoccio
My fave of the steaming songs are October and Cadeau (both from his first album).
Cheers,
Zeekid

Woman, you just made my day. Thought you knew. However, it’s perfectly shameful how often I’ve updated this year, so I can’t plug to friends (and strangers). If you’re searching recipes, L & I made beautiful ricotta & zucchini stuffed tomatoes a few weeks ago… give me another… few weeks to post ;)
Have you got any videos of you playing anything more classically inclined? I’m a viola player, have been for roughly 17 years, and love piano music – I’ve played with some AMAZING pianists :D
My former instructor would shake his head in disgrace if I recorded any of my old classical pieces ;) Have made a half-valiant attempt to re-learn… once they’re fit for public ears, will absolutely post.
